Historic cultural capitals-Isfahan

was founded in the Bronze Age and has a fascinating history: in the IX century it was an important military base and since then it became the capital of the various states, including Ilkhanate (same Ilkhanid) and the Safavids. During XIII -XVIII centuries Tabriz was one of the largest cities in the Middle East. Tabriz was chosen five times as the capital by several rulers commencing from Atropateser. What is left after natural disasters and wars - monuments of the Ilkhanid, Safavid and Qajar. One of the most prominent is Blue Mosque (Masjed-e Kabud).

It was constructed in 1465 upon the order of Jahan Shah, the ruler of Kara Koyunlu. The Blue Mosque was built as a monument in honor of victories Shah Jahan for all religions hence its real name is Dar-o-salam.

Tabriz importance in the past can now be judged by its old bazaar. Tabriz Bazaar is one of the oldest bazaars in the Middle East and the largest covered bazaar in the world. Tabriz has been a place of cultural exchange since antiquity. Its historic bazaar complex is one of the most important commercial centers on the Silk Road.

          One of the favorite places for tourists that overloaded by historical sites there is El Goli Park. This is one of the most beautiful parks in Tabriz. Tourists are attracted by a really beautiful manufactured lake, which is located in the middle of the park.
